Friday, May 26th

Patricia has been involved in the world of pedigree dogs for over 50 years (virtually her whole life) She played every aspect of the activity: exhibitor, breeder of several breeds, all breeds professional handler and judge since 1988. She judges All Breeds worldwide, in virtually everywhere where there are dog shows (all five continents)Being Argentine, she has witnessed the evolution of their only native breed, DOGO ARGENTINO, from being a heterogeneous group of aggressive white dogs to becoming the beautiful, tippy, sound group of show dogs that they currently display."Attila", "Juan", "Bombon", and more recently "Monika" & "Espartaco", were gorgeous Dogos that filled her eyes with white quality as time went by. In 2008, she had the enormous pleasure of judging them at the World Dog Show in Stockholm. And just before the pandemic, she was invited to judge a Specialty in Beijing, China (and to present her seminar for aspiring judges)She also lectured about Dogos Argentinos in Moscow, in 2014, especially invited by the RKF Judges Education Committee. Judging them in the USA, during the weekend of the National, will be certainly an unforgettable experience!

Mr. Brian Bogart
Regional Specialty
Sunday, May 28th

In May 1970 when Brian and his younger Brother Wade, were discussing what to do for Mother’s Day, the then 12-year-old Wade suggested they purchase a Miniature Poodle puppy as a gift. Brian, whose source of income at the time was a paper route, said no. A few days later, Alice Bogart and Wade, arrived at the Bogart household with a Miniature Schnauzer.
The show bug eventually “bit” and the brothers would make a purchase to improve the breed. In 1979, Brian entered Graduate School at the University of Tennessee; one of my professors in the Animal Science-Nutrition Department was Dr. Karl Barth of Karlshof Miniature Schnauzer fame. He suggested that we get the best brood bitch we could afford. We did just that. Under the AKC Registered Name Prefix, SUMERWYND, the brothers have amassed 75+ AKC Conformation Champions, 7 Top Producing Sires and 5 Top Producing Dams, BIS Winners on Three Continents. They are especially delighted that 11+ dogs of their breeding have excelled in companion and performance events. The most gratifying experience has been the life-long friendships I’ve developed with people from all over the world. The most exciting accomplishment was winning BOB Award at the 1989 AMSC National Specialty-Great Western with American and Canadian Ch Sumerwynd Bandsman Lady’s Man.
Achievements I’m most proud of include breeding 75 AKC Conformation Champions, 7 Top Producing sires and 5 Top Producing dams, BIS winners on 3 continents. I am especially delighted that 11+ dogs of my breeding have been outstanding in companion and performance sports. Dan Kiedrowski reported that Marsha Dawson’s Ch Garnet Rock Maestro Berstein OM2, UDX2, VER, RAE2, MX, MXJ, MXBP, MJ, MJP3 MJPB PAX OF XFP JE CGC.
Brian has been a member of the American Miniature Schnauzer Club since 1984 and has served this club as a 3 term member of the Board of Governors and is currently serving a fourth term and AMSC Fall Specialty Coordinator held along with the Montgomery County Kennel Club for 12 years. He has held several leadership positions in local AKC All Breed Clubs.
I am currently approved to judge all breeds in the Terrier Group, 12 breeds in the Working Group and the Norwegian Buhund. I have judged in Canada as well as some of the most prestigious shows in America, including the American Miniature Schnauzer Club National Specialty-Montgomery County KC.
I am a retired Sales and Marketing Executive in the Veterinary Pharmaceutical and Pet Food Industries.
